Cookie policy

Essential cookies

These cookies are necessary for RoomZing to work, for example to keep you signed in and to remember a live game session in progress. Essential cookies are always active and don't require consent.

Statistical analytics

We use a small amount of storage to produce aggregate statistics about how RoomZing is used, for the sole purpose of understanding and improving the service. Our provider is Google Analytics 4, configured for statistics only.

What we measure, always as totals and averages rather than individual histories:

• Pages viewed and the order pages are visited in.
• Approximate location (country/region level), device type, browser and referring site.
• Use of product features — for example starting the generator, opening a template, creating a game, printing cards, launching or joining a live game, viewing pricing and starting or completing a subscription — counted so we can see where journeys succeed or drop off overall.

To count returning visits, the analytics cookie stores a randomly generated, pseudonymous browser identifier. It is not your name, email address or RoomZing account, and we never send your account identifier, prompt text or participant nicknames to our analytics provider.

The analytics cookie has a fixed lifetime of 30 days and is not extended when you return, so the identifier resets at least every 30 days. We do not use advertising or remarketing features, Google Signals, demographics or advertising personalisation, we do not share analytics with advertising partners, we do not build profiles or make decisions about individual people, and we do not track you across other websites or services.

Turning analytics off

Because this analytics is limited to aggregate statistics about our own service, it runs by default. You can switch it off at any time on our analytics settings page. Turning it off stops measurement immediately, deletes the analytics cookies already stored, and is remembered in that browser. If you previously chose "Essential only" under our old cookie banner, analytics stays off for you until you turn it on.

Managing cookies

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of RoomZing, such as signing in or joining a live game, from working correctly.
